Honda has unveiled its third electric scooter for India, and the QC3 is a direct response to the one thing riders kept flagging about the QC1: not enough range. Shown alongside a wider 10-product portfolio reveal from Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), the QC3 slots in above the QC1 with a bigger battery, nearly double the range, and a proper connected dashboard, though Honda has stopped short of confirming price or a launch date.

Honda hasn't revealed the QC3's motor output yet, but doubling the battery capacity strongly suggests a more powerful hub motor is coming too, the current QC1 is capped at a fairly modest 50 km/h. That missing number matters more than it might seem: range and features get a scooter shortlisted, but motor output and real-world acceleration are what actually decide whether it feels competitive against the iQube or Chetak on the road, not just on a spec sheet. Until Honda discloses that, the QC3's on-paper upgrade is only half-verified.
What's new for the rider
The bigger jump isn't just range, it's what's finally been added around it. The QC3 gets a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster running Honda RoadSync, bringing turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth, and call/SMS alerts to a Honda electric scooter for the first time. It also adds a smart key for keyless operation and a USB charging port, neither of which the QC1 offers. Under-seat storage grows to 32 litres, enough to count as class-leading and genuinely useful for a helmet and a grocery run in the same trip.
Price: nothing official yet, but the math is fairly narrow
Honda hasn't announced pricing or a launch date for the QC3. BikeWale's analysis, based on the QC1's ₹90,708 (ex-showroom) starting price and the scale of the upgrade, estimates a premium of roughly ₹7,000-10,000 over the QC1, putting the QC3 somewhere close to ₹97,000-1,00,000 (ex-showroom). That's one publication's estimate, not a confirmed figure, and Honda's own pricing history suggests it doesn't always land where analysts expect.

Part of a bigger reveal
The QC3 wasn't unveiled alone, it was one of ten made-in-India products HMSI showed off in the same reveal, spanning electric, ICE, and flex-fuel models. Alongside the QC3, Honda showed the CB500 (a new 501cc roadster), an updated CB350 range, the ADV160 maxi-scooter, and the XR300L and XR300 Rally dual-purpose motorcycles, alongside its Rebel cruiser line-up. It's a reminder that Honda's India strategy right now is multi-pathway rather than EV-first, electric, petrol, and flex-fuel products are all getting attention in the same breath.
Why it matters
The QC3 is Honda's clearest signal yet that it heard the criticism of the QC1's short range and basic feature set, and built a direct fix rather than a facelift. Nearly doubling the certified range and finally adding connected features are real, confirmed upgrades. What's still missing, motor power, top speed, and a price tag, happens to be exactly the information that would let a buyer actually compare it against the iQube or Chetak rather than just admire the spec sheet. Until Honda fills in those blanks, the QC3 is a strong answer to a real complaint, not yet a finished product.
