Citroen India has introduced the 2026 e-C3X, a refreshed version of its electric hatchback, priced at ₹10.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has also extended the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, making the vehicle available from ₹6.89 lakh with a battery EMI of ₹2.26 per km.
Key Updates in the e-C3X
The e-C3X receives several cosmetic and feature enhancements aimed at improving appeal in a competitive segment. Exterior changes include signature LED DRLs, LED projector headlamps, new 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and auto-folding ORVMs.
Inside, the cabin gets a refreshed look with Electric Blue accents, premium leatherette upholstery, a new 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additional features include a wireless charger, JBL audio system, front and rear dashcam, and regenerative braking with Eco and Standard drive modes.
Safety equipment includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, reverse parking sensors, and speed-sensitive auto door locks.

Powertrain and Range
The e-C3X continues with the same 29.2 kWh LFP prismatic battery pack paired with an air-cooled thermal management system. It produces 57 PS and 143 Nm, with a claimed MIDC range of 325 km. Real-world range is expected to be around 250 km depending on driving conditions. DC fast charging supports 10-80% in approximately 57 minutes.
The powertrain and thermal management system remain unchanged from the previous model, which places it a step behind several competitors offering liquid-cooled battery packs in this segment.

Variants and Positioning
The updated model is available in three variants - Live, Live (O), and Shine. Citroën is positioning the e-C3X as a more premium and feature-rich offering compared to the standard e-C3, which has largely been used in fleet operations.
Outlook
The e-C3X represents Citroen’s attempt to strengthen its presence in the Indian electric passenger vehicle market. With improved features, better perceived quality, and the BaaS option lowering the entry barrier, the model aims to attract more private buyers. However, the unchanged battery pack and air-cooling system remain areas where it lags behind some key rivals in the segment.
