Real World Range Test on Maruti Suzuki eVitara (61 kWh ) alpha variant !!

🏷️ We took Maruti Suzuki eVitara for range test ,driving on highway to see how the Maruti tagline : “India goes electric ,Experience it to Believe It” goes ahead and what experience we got of course to believe it as well indeed

🏷️ Idea was simple to drive it as realistically as possible from Patiala to Amritsar to Attari to back to home (Patiala) with a Real world range test ,plus charging speeds and so forth 
Results ::

🏷️ We extracted a range of 423 km with 4% Soc to spare !!

🏷️ Some stats to tinker ::

👉 At 90% : 41 km : 294 km (Range)
👉 At 80% : 87 km : 280 km (Range) 
👉 At 74% : 109 km : 261 km (Range) 

✅ We completed 200 km done with 53% Soc remaining  (47% Soc consumed ) 

👉 At 70% : 130 km : 230 km (Range) 
👉 At 50% : 215 km : 196 km (Range) 
👉 At 40% : 257 km : 158 km (Range)👉 At 30% : 297 km : 125 km (Range) 
👉 At 20% :  345 km : 82 km (Range) 
👉 At 15% : 361 km : 65 km (Range)
👉 At 10% : 390 km : 47 km (Range) 

✅ 400 km done 8% Soc (92% consumed)

🏷️ Final efficiencies as per the odometer display was 7.1 km/kWh 

🏷️ Whole range test was done with 2 People on board, AC on 22-23 C ,Eco mode drive ,V seats+ on,speeds were kept 84-80 km/h wherever possible,it’s highway run with a little city drive.

🏷️ Some pointers ::

👉 First ,Low battery  warning ⚠️ comes at 10% Soc ,you can change all drive modes ,no power loss ,AC work fine 

👉 Second ,low battery warning /low performance mode arrives at 5% Soc ,you can change all drive modes ,AC works fine here also 

👉 We could have driven for 10-15 km more to drop to 1% Soc but it was a loaner car we didn’t wanted to do it this one can extract 433-440 km easily upto 1-2% Soc
 
👉 Finally usually in real world conditions one can expect 360-420 km of delta range with 61 kWh battery pack while for 50 kWh it should be 260-320 km of delta range 

👉 No drive selector issue ,No infotainment or any lag whatsoever in the whole range test 

👉  Seems Maruti has done the hard part of BMS-Software quite successfully well.
