Tata recently released a small video of Punch doing close to 600 km in a single charge. Does anyone really think it can even touch 400 km or is Tata spreading misinformation? I believe the real world range to be 320-340 km since Nexon gives ~370 km. Should I consider buying the new punch ev? I have Tata's service is not so good. Is it true? I currently drive a Kodiaq but the fuel cost is immense. I'll be a single driver and driving in the city is going to be my primary use. My budget is 13 lakh.

It was a poor marketing stunt from Tata in my personal opinion. However Punch EV is a very decent EV. I extracted a range of 320km in the 35kWh version but it is dependent on a lot of factors. The new one is expected to be 40kWh. With the efficiency figures seen for current owners, 350km is achievable. However it is unknown if this version will completely replace the previous LR version or will be available only in top variant. The only downside I see in Punch in terms of driving is what they call the jewel knob gear shifter. There is a very small lag. Rest I feel, for city use as in your case, it is very good.

Yes, you should buy the Punch facelift, it suits your needs. The real-world range on highways will be 320-350 kms. It can have a better range due to its smaller size.
Tata's service can be a miss sometimes, but if you create a rapport with your service center. You will sail through. If you have owned Skoda, you know how to deal with service centers

I have not had major issues with Skoda since I have used their premium product. But now I am looking for a secondary car which I can drive solo for office use. Punch is considered after watching a video of this website's youtube video. I'll go ahead and book it as soon as bookings commence.

I have registered interest in Punch after the launch. Looks like a steal at the current price.
