How to go about buying a used EV?

I'm looking to buy a used EV, a 2nd EV for office use, routine local running. What all points need to be considered? How should I go about it?

Whichever car you like, you'll need to take the owner with you to the service center. Get a complete battery report and history of any replacement. Check if the SoH of the battery is in line with the time/km driven. Do check the tyre conditions as well. If someone has driven their car roughly it will reflect there. The cost of replacing the tyres will help in negotiating. An EV with more years/km remaining on warranty should always be preferable. Rest it will be usual as any other car.

First of all you gotta be prepared for high number on the ODO .. It's rare that one may find an EV which hasn't done anything less than 50k kms in not more than 2 years .. As an EV have very few moving parts, mileage shouldn't be a concern .. If you are able to get a vehicle which still has some part of the standard warranty left, nothing better than that .. Do make sure to check the underbody/battery for any damages as that might take it to a level of a hefty insurance claim ..

If standard warranty has expired and there is no extended warranty being taken, remember that you won't be able to get an extended warranty on that vehicle now ..
