BYD Seal Battery Replacement

I want to detail my experience of the great service I received from BYD. On republic day this year while on a drive with my family, there was an instance when I felt a small jerk in power. I ignored it at that moment thinking it could be some software glitch. The next day while going for work the same issue occurred. I took a look at the instrument cluster and the range value looked off the mark. I contacted the service center and told them the issue. They asked me to visit. Being the beginning of the week, it was difficult. They picked up the car early next morning. In the afternoon I received a call from the SC stating that the battery of my car needs replacement. It will take atleast a week before the new battery comes to them and another 3 days for installation and testing. They voluntarily offered a loaner car for my troubles but I did not require it. Within the agreed timeline my battery was replaced. I was informed on every step of the process. This has elevated my trust in BYD EVs. They are priced higher due to taxes but their service is top notch.

BYD is recalling the Seal due to a defect in some blade batteries. Can you provide any details if they shared with you anything?

Suhail Gulati As you mentioned it was some faulty cell. This is what I was told as well by the service center. Now they say the battery health is restored to 100% as a new pack has been installed.
