Title: 15 Days of Harassment: Chronic Battery Failure and Professional Misconduct by Puneet Auto Sales, Lucknow
April 23: The Breakdown
My Tata Punch EV (UP32QCXXXX) suffered a life-threatening SoC drop from 10% to 0% abruptly in Unnao, leaving me stranded in the middle of the road. This was a vehicle that is barely a year old. After a harrowing experience, I managed to get it towed.
April 24 (Friday): The Submission & False Promise
I officially handed over the car to Puneet Auto Sales, Lucknow, on Friday, April 24. The service team acknowledged the issue and firmly promised to return the vehicle within 3 days after a complete repair.
The Cycle of Deception (April 25 – 26):
By Sunday, instead of the promised delivery, the excuses started. Service Advisor Aman claimed the car was "on trial." I began emailing Tata Motors immediately, sensing the delay, but received no proactive support.
Management’s Apathy (April 27 – 30):
On Monday, my dozens of calls went unanswered. On Tuesday, GM-Service Sanjeevan casually pushed the deadline to Thursday. When Thursday arrived, I had to call 12-14 times before Service Manager Ashutosh Tiwari picked up, only to ask for "2 more days." He then promised a resolution or a standby car by Sunday.
May 3: The Peak of Insult (The Sunday Clash):
After being ignored all morning, I finally reached GM Sanjeevan at 2 PM. His tone was aggressive. He denied the standby car and shamelessly told me, "We aren't running a travel agency here," when I asked for taxi reimbursement for my ₹2,500 daily business loss. After an intense argument, he verbally agreed to a measly ₹1,200/day but refused a written commitment, later sending a vague email only under immense pressure.
Current Status: Day 15
7 Emails to Tata Motors, 20+ Tweets, and 70+ ignored calls.
Result: No car, no standby vehicle, and constant verbal abuse from the GM.
I am paying EMIs for a "Dead Battery" while Puneet Auto Sales continues to harass me. This is a clear case of Deficiency in Service and Consumer Harassment.
